1. Who we are

This policy applies to Techloch, the operator of TechLoch, and covers the TechLoch website, public scans, customer accounts, verified site workflows, managed delivery features, reports, and optional snippet diagnostics.

If you have privacy questions or wish to exercise a privacy right, contact support@techloch.com.

2. Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication details, organization name, and billing-related information.

When you use the platform, we may collect website URLs, scan results, findings, score history, verification status, managed delivery events, support messages, and preference data such as cookie consent selections.

We also receive limited technical information, such as browser, device and request metadata, for security, debugging, and service performance.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to provide and secure the service, manage accounts, run scans, verify site access, operate managed delivery, send transactional communications, respond to support requests, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations.

Where analytics consent is enabled, we also use Vercel Web Analytics and consented telemetry to understand visitor behaviour, product usage patterns, site performance, and service quality. Vercel Web Analytics collects anonymised page view data and does not use cookies or track visitors across sites.

4. Managed delivery data and optional snippet telemetry

TechLoch-managed delivery and related edge infrastructure may produce request, validation, and health data that helps us confirm what your live domain is serving and what crawlers can actually reach.

If you deploy the optional TechLoch snippet on a connected website, the snippet may send page performance, page view, crawler, and feature-use events back to the platform. Those events remain supplemental and may be gated behind per-site consent settings.

You are responsible for reviewing your own legal disclosures and consent wording before enabling those features on your websites.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

TechLoch uses necessary cookies and local storage to maintain account sessions, security, and saved privacy preferences. Analytics services, including Vercel Web Analytics, are only activated after an affirmative analytics preference is recorded.

Further detail is available in our Cookie Policy.

6. Disclosure and service providers

We may disclose information to carefully selected infrastructure and service providers that help us run the product, including hosting, authentication, CDN delivery, database, payment, email-delivery, and analytics providers (such as Vercel).

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a corporate transaction.

7. International transfers and retention

Some providers may process information outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure information is handled in a way consistent with applicable privacy obligations.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and meet legal obligations.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect information, but no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be fully secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate records, deletion where appropriate, or withdrawal of optional analytics consent.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

10. Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or product changes. Material changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
